INTRODUCING: “THE GREAT TREES FALL” – THE LAST BOOK IN THE WHEN YOU COME TO ME SERIES

Image

If you haven’t read When You Come to Me or Skin Like Dawn yet, I won’t ruin it for you! But I cannot ignore those lovely people who have reached out and told me that they cannot wait for a 3rd book. I am happy to say that it’s coming – and it’s coming a lot sooner than later!

The newest book, Skin Like Dawn, has only been out for a week and is doing ridiculously well, thanks to you guys! I am overwhelmed by the love, hate, adoration, and passion that you’ve shown for this book and its characters.  I hope that you can see my growth as a writer.

While I do not have a definitive release date for “The Great Trees Fall”, it will definitely be a lot sooner than you think! I’ve already begun working on the outline and a few of the first paragraphs. I’m off to a great start.  If you have any questions about Skin Like Dawn or what’s coming up next, feel free to email me!

The 1st draft is almost complete! My third novel, Skin Like Dawn, is on its way!

Ask any one of my friends and they’ll be the first to tell you that I’ve been on a roll the past couple of weeks! With the aid of my beta readers, a crisp glass of white wine and some very soothing music, I’ve cranked out at least fifty pages in the past few days, putting me way beyond my goal for this time of year. Soon, I will be editing and formatting frantically to get it ready for you guys. I cannot wait to share this with you. It will excite some and disappoint others, but I’ve opted for a realistic approach that any couple worth something will experience in their mid to late 20s.

Thank you for your continued support. You have no idea how much it means to me!

And a date has been set: August 15th.

Okay, okay. I know, I know.

I’ve set dates before and they haven’t come to fruition.  But who can blame me?  I’ve had so many different ideas circulating the past few months that I haven’t even taken a breath long enough to get them down on paper.

But this one will stick.

August 15th.  It may seem like such a random date to you, but to me, it’s meant way much more than I’ve ever verbalized.  If it wasn’t for this date, my two ever-interesting characters, Brandon Greene and Natalie Chandler may not have ever met.  So while choosing a release date feels as important to me as picking a day to get married, I won’t dally any longer.

On August 15, 2013, Skin Like Dawn will be released to the masses.  It’s a long overdue (six years, actually) addition to my very first published novel, When You Come to Me.  She’s been lonely for the past six years, with a cliffhanger waiting to be concluded.

And speaking of conclusions…

I’ve decided to turn this whole saga into a trilogy…but more on that later 🙂

Rest your little souls, people.  August 15th will be here before you know it. I can’t wait to share it with the world.

In the interim, enjoy some novel lines here!

She was shivering now…

She was shivering now.  She absurdly convinced herself that she’d never felt like this.  That it wouldn’t go away. That something deep inside was propelling her toward a disastrous fate, a blind, ill-lit plight of her own device.

Still, she had the audacity to lean down to kiss her husband’s forehead, slowly, sensually, desperately.  She closed her eyes.  Tears brimmed them.  She felt lightheaded.  He stirred a little, murmured something, then rolled over.

He knew she was there.

She was in love, even then – but the inevitable was a bright-white infectious light, a great big wave of lunacy, pulling her downward, slicing through the undertow.

She raised herself from the bed and got dressed quickly.

She crept out of the bedroom, and the moonlight cast shame against her.
