I’ll be the first to admit that when I released my first book When You Come to Me a couple of years ago, I had no idea that I would be receiving emails from people, wanting to know more about Brandon and Natalie, angry that I hadn’t released the sequel yet, leaving them hanging. I’ve glossed over reviews online – some, obviously, were better than others. But one thing holds true: people are reading. And that’s all I really wanted. The great thing about it is people are reviewing, whether good or bad, meaning that some sort of emotion was evoked. That’s what a writer constantly seeks out of their readers.
Without rambling too much, I say with unbridled exuberance that Skin Like Dawn is just one month away. The sleepless nights, the editing, the formatting and the nerves have all begun. This is my first completed novel in years. That means that this is my first novel that I haven’t pulled from my archives, dusted off and refreshed. This is all new material. My friends and my family and my life in general have inspired me, and as a result, my hands are aching because I’ve been typing so much!
If you haven’t yet read When You Come to Me, please do. And take something from it. And share it with your friends. And your friends’ friends. It’s free right now. That’s how much I want everyone to read it!
Besides, it’s the predecessor to Skin Like Dawn. You have to read it.
As always, thank you so much for joining me on this journey. August 15th can’t get here fast enough.
